We believe in giving back to our community. For decades, we have supported local rescues by providing veterinary care for pets in need. Given our extensive work with rescues, we are versed in the unique veterinary care needs of rescue pets, which are often different from those of local pets.
Because of this, Lakeview Animal Hospital is the go-to hospital for the veterinary care of rescue pets in the Greater Toronto Area.
Your Support is Key!
By bringing your pet to Lakeview Animal Hospital for their veterinary care, you are directly helping to support the great work done by the rescues we support.
Thank you for trusting us with the care of your pet and allowing us to help support pets in need. It truly means so much to all of us at Lakeview Animal Hospital, and to all of the dedicated rescues, their volunteers and, of course, the rescued pets!
Rescues We Support
We are the primary veterinary care hospital for the rescues we support. In collaboration with our supported rescues, we ensure all rescue pets get the comprehensive veterinary care they deserve.
Save Our Scruff
Save Our Scruff is a non-profit organization located in Southern Ontario dedicated to rescuing dogs from unfortunate situations and finding them safe and suitable permanent homes through adoption, advocacy and education. By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians, and trainers, we are able to rescue dogs and provide them with loving temporary care while finding them well-matched, carefully screened forever homes.

Fetch and Releash
Established in 2016, Fetch + Releash is a volunteer run dog rescue dedicated to saving dogs in need. Our foster dogs come from a variety of different backgrounds such as pounds and shelters, strays and surrendered pets, both locally and abroad. Through our network of volunteers, foster homes, trainers and veterinarians, we strive to give every dog the loving forever family they deserve. Â As a foster-based dog rescue, our foster dogs live in private homes across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) where they receive the love and attention they need to ready them for adoption.

Happy’s Place
We rescue senior dogs by request who are still able to lead a quality life but who are also at a higher risk of euthanasia or unable to find forever adopted homes due to old age, medical needs such as chronic illness or special need, or other factors, including cases where dog guardians can no longer care for their senior dog due to their own health or other reason.
Sea Paws
Sea Paws Rescue (SPR) is a dedicated team of animal lovers committed to rescuing abandoned and neglected animals worldwide. Our mission is to provide every animal with essential medical care, shelter, and love to prepare them for adoption into their forever homes.
Partnering with shelters locally and abroad, we facilitate adoptions and advocate for responsible animal care to combat extreme overpopulation and reduce pet homelessness.

Bark At The Moon
In early 2021, Bark at the Moon Animal Rescue was founded as a means to help provide love, housing, and good health for street dogs, shelter dogs and local dogs in need. We are a non profit, foster based rescue. Our dogs are fostered across South Western Ontario (Ranging from Toronto, to London). Globally, we’ve seen an increase in overpopulation in terms of abandoned and neglected animals since the beginning of the pandemic. Shelters both locally and abroad are overflowing with unwanted pets. With overcrowding in shelters, comes unnecessary euthanasia for many very well-rounded, adoptable pets. Our mission is to save as many dogs (and cats) as possible from unwarranted death.
