Lakeview Animal Hospital 2021
After a tough 2020 – thank you all for your wonderful support and understanding of the changes we had to make to accommodate COVID-19 – we are excited about 2021.
Our Team
Our team has weather the COVID storm and we’re here to help you help your pets. We want to extend a warm welcome to Dr. Dogar who joined our team at the end of 2020 in the midst of the storm. He’s a very experienced veterinarian who worked in one of the biggest clinics in Newfoundland before moving eastward. We presume he’s kissed a cod… 🙂

What We Value
We are a small clinic (but growing – see below!) that really believes in building relationships and working with you to help give the best care we can to your pets.
We book longer appointments to allow us to spend time discussing your pet’s health care so that we can work together as a team.

Expansion
We are growing! We are going to expand into the adjacent unit this year. As soon as we can (after lockdown), we’ll be starting renovations to add 3 new spacious exam rooms.
The extra exams rooms will give us all a bit more breathing room (our current ones are – admittedly – a little… well… cozy 🙂 and it will allow us to maintain safe distancing once clients are able to enter the hospital again.
We’ll be adding more info as we get it. We’re currently working on finalizing the design drawings, so there’s nothing to show yet (we’re excited to see them too!).
Charitable Work
To help extend our reach outside of our clinic, we help several rescue charities and we are the veterinary care provider for Save Our Scruff.
Save Our Scruff
Save Our Scruff (SOS) is a non-profit organization located in Toronto dedicated to rescuing dogs and finding them safe and suitable permanent homes through adoption, advocacy and education.
Most of their dogs come from shelters in over-burdened areas where they would have otherwise been put down. All dogs rescued are given full veterinary examinations and any medical issues are treated to ensure that they are healthy and well cared for.
By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians, and trainers, SOS are able to rescue dogs and provide them with loving temporary care while finding them well-matched, carefully screened forever homes.
Events and Specials
We’re still working through COVID-19, so there are no events planned (we’re hoping we can do an open house when the renos are done, but it may need to wait until later in the year).
With heartworm season almost upon us, we will be offering a special promotion on heartworm and tick-borne disease testing. Look for that in late March.
